Parisa & Tom chose to say I do in the beautifully domed mansion of Sundridge Park Manor in Bromley, London. With its elegant white washed walls and romantic balconies, surrounded by pretty landscape parks and woodlands, it was the perfect setting for this 50’s vintage wedding with an Iranian twist!

The grandeur of the interiors brought together with the quirky style of this couples wedding worked a charm. Looking up literally takes your breath away. We loved the intricacy of the ornate ceilings, lavish with gold and turquoise detail, and enjoyed the pops of 1950’s frills dotted around the manor that lived above and beyond it’s name.

Not stopping at styling the venue, our beautiful Parisa went all the way with her love of all things 50’s with this fabulous Tea Length wedding dress, cat eyes frames and victory rolls hairstyle. Her bridesmaids were rocking emerald green numbers complete with pink petticoats! Lovely! Stepping inside the manor really felt like stepping back in time.

The ratpack would have been dancing in their graves. The men were kitted out in braces, trilby’s, dickie bows, the lot! Even the guests arrived dressed to the nines in their 50’s attire.

After the civil ceremony, the Iranian ceremony took place in the neighbouring room. We’ve shot a few Iranian weddings and we love the symbolism behind them. There’s so many interesting traditions including the sugar cones that are rubbed over the bride and groom’s head (covered by a scarf or shawl made from silk) to shower the newly weds in sweetness. There is a wedding spread called the Sofreye Aghd where there are lots of sweet treats that each resemble a part of the marriage ahead. These things include The Seven Herbs, The Seven Pastries (our favourite!) Honey, Persian Rose, The Heavenly Fruits and so on. Everything looks so delicious and pretty! A spread fit for royalty! These ceremonies makes us wish so bad we could have an iranian ceremony ourselves, mainly down to our sweet tooth!

Our gorgeous Persian ladies dancing to their iranian wedding music. It’s incredibly difficult to not join in.

Our groom’s Dad played a few acoustic songs for the guests which got everyone singing along and gave us a real insight to this lovely families musical background.

We adore this gorgeous rustic cake! I still don’t know if those birds are edible, but who would want to eat them anyway!? (Juliet walks away with chocolate all over her chops…)

1950’s, Iranian and Festival-esque! For the wedding breakfast, grab a blanket, grab a plate, pick a van, PICNIC! Excellent idea! And it made this wedding even more fun. There was a pizza van and a burger van with an outdoor buffet of salads, and to top things off, there was even an ice-cream bike for later! A perfect summer vibe!

As the sun went down, the fairy lights came on and the party started! Guests were even treated to a rock and roll performance from Gabriella Cilmi who just so happened to be Parisa’s friend and bridesmaid. There was such a great atmosphere and an amazing photo booth session! A horses head can go a long way! Keep scrolling to see why…

We absolutely loved shooting this London wedding. These two really went all out to show off their style, which in wedding photography allows us to give back as much as you’ve put in. Thank you Parisa & Tom for putting on such a fabulous wedding.
