Wedding Venue / Stoke Newington Town Hall
Wedding Reception / MC Motors, Dalston, London
When we first heard form Sana + Kevin we were immediately excited by their email, ‘”East India Trading Company” – Victoria England meets Raj India’, totally up our street. We love industrial weddings as it’s close to our hearts and we love all things indian! MC Motors is every London wedding photographers dream venue. It’s urban, intentionally unkempt, raw industrial vibe provides a heavenly backdrop for portraits, throw in some light up signage and we’re done!
This young couple had impeccable style from threads to chosen venues, both from indian backgrounds, they wanted to respect that but curate a day that was more relevant to the modern day London couple. Starting with their ceremony in Stoke Newington, this Hackney Town Hall was splendidly juxtaposed to their warehouse reception venue with it’s clean lines and 70’s tones. The pair fitted perfectly into their chosen space right down to the colour of their outfits.
We took the couple to Clissold Park just behind the Town Hall for a portrait session amidst the autumnal colours but the best bit was when we got them to stand in the middle of the skate park and asked the local BMX’ers if they would’nt mind giving us a few spins around the couple! We managed to capture a biker mid air which is one of our all time favourite shots.
We love a London wedding, and this one in particular will always stand out because it had all the elements we love from the fun loving couple (who were heavily into their garage, seriously their first dance was Inner City Life / Goldie, if you don’t know it, go listen to it now!), the Dalston location, the industrial style, their lovely families, everything was down to a T for us.
