Welcome to Leonie & Nick’s London Pub wedding…
Leonie stayed in the Zetter in Clerkenwell. This fabulously trendy hotel looks like it’s been splattered with the entire colour spectrum! It was an absolute delight to photograph beautiful Leonie in such a vibrant space.
There was definitely a hint of vintage love in this brides style, from the delicate opals on her engagement ring to her sparkling 20’s wedding shoes. This dash of yesterday brought together with the modernity of the day worked an absolute treat!
The Zetter had an industrial vibe going on, so we took advantage of the piping of course! It’s like it was made to frame her dress!
We love Islington Town Hall, it’s such a beautiful building and we were blessed with blue skies on this day. The inside is even more beautiful!
These three were working their suits like bosses! And we have to say, we adored Nick’s striking blue attire, very dapper!
The Council Chamber is oozing grandeur. You can feel a certain presence in this room almost like we shouldn’t be in there. If you stay really quiet you can hear the old council members making big decisions! And if you snap back into reality, you can hear Leonie and Nick saying ‘I do!’ Beautiful setting for a wedding!
…They’re just a totally adorable couple.
Guests walked to the reception and the four of us took a stroll of our own, snapping away the newly weds on the streets of Islington.
We couldn’t resist getting a few shots of them outside the Canonbury House as their reception was a hop, skip and jump away down the road in the Canonbury Tavern!
George Orwell lived in Canonbury Square and actually sat under the huge Chestnut tree that still remains outside, whilst working on his famous book Nineteen Eighty Four! I can see why he enjoyed this tavern, it’s tucked away on typically beautiful London streets away from all the hustle and bustle of Upper Street.
We loved pretty much everything about this wedding, but one of our favourite things was by far the illustration of the couple!
So much detail and effort was put into this colourful wedding. The decor is just perfect, the geometric shapes, the succulent flowers and the gorgeously decorated cake by Melissa’s Cake Boutique. As for the gorgeous styling of this wedding, applause goes to Charley Beard from London Bride. She got Leonie & Nick’s style in one.
The beautiful table designs went from colourful summer party to cosy, ambient summer night’s dream. We’re all about the details and we couldn’t get enough of this lot.
We took the couple back outside because the sun wanted to kiss them goodnight for the evening. We love this golden sunlight and always try to use it when we have the chance and you can see why!
Another successful photo booth! Thank you Leonie & Nick for giving us such a beautiful wedding to shoot! We wish you both all the love & happiness in the world!
