Welcome to Helen + Paul’s chic, industrial, colourful, East London wedding! Right from the off Helen and her bridal party got ready in a beautifully designed, danish inspired, East London house. Every corner was minimally decorated in mid-century danish delights. Her brides-maids and man were dressed to the nines in delicate shades of blush and champagne, chic and glamorous with sequins and sparkles! Our stunning Helen, with her fabulous up-do, wore a show stopping dress, ravishing red lips and Carrie Bradshaw blue shoes, a head turner if ever we did see one! Her groom, Paul? Well… A Scottish Bond! We adored his combo of black tie meets kilt. From dickie to toe, dapper indeed.

When we met them we were instantly excited by their wedding and their ideas for decor. The pair were hilarious, creative and the perfect fit. We heard about these balloon ideas and couldn’t imagine just how magical the end result would look. Balloons adorned the ceilings, doorways and random sides of the space from the ceremony to the reception which was held at Trinity Buoy Wharf on the River Thames (The Chain Store). This venue is a labyrinth of little gems from the North Greenwich City Scape, our marvelously murky river to lighthouses and American diners! We took the newly wed couple to Fat Boy’s Diner, a step-back-into-time 1950’s American hang out for a milkshake, because why not?

These stunning industrial venues are becoming ever popular for today’s young newly weds, (even we picked a warehouse ourselves!) They make for a perfect setting for urban weddings, a gorgeous contrast between beautifully dressed crowds against smog kissed London bricks and perfectly preserved pieces of the past. This vast space came to life with colour and sparkle after the couple threw themselves into it. Bright and beautiful in the day, growing so cosy by the night with the warmth of fairy lights that covered the walls, a dream to shoot.
