Zoe & Ed’s Destination Wedding in Castello Di Gargonza, Italy – The Ceremony & Portraits

Wedding Ceremony in Castello Di Gargonza

When we learned the history behind this fortified medieval village, it made this wedding and these photos just that little bit more special. Castello Di Gargonza dates back as far as 1150! It even played host to Dante Aligheri (a famous Italian poet known as just Dante) in 1303. Having a history spent cultivating the woods and wool production as well as crop farming, when the twentieth century came,  the community left this little village seeking a better life in the nearby cities. By 1970, Roberto Guicciardini Corsi Salviati took it upon himself to save this wondrous place and began to restore the buildings and the church, but left pieces of the past community in the details such as the burnt fireplaces, the tiny windows, the crooked staircases and much more historic gems, even naming the houses after their previous owners. His son, Neri, now runs the place and lives on site, helping guests to feel as at home as possible. This magical place has a magical story and we hope to visit there again one day. It’s a place you’re surely never to forget.

Now you know that, you can enjoy the ceremony 🙂

Zoe & Ed’s Destination Wedding in Castello Di Gargonza, Italy – The Reception

Castello Di Gargonza Wedding Venue, Destination Wedding Photographer

That’s right, Castello Di Gargonza also has a restaurant on site called La Torre Di Gargonza, where the reception was held. This restaurant can cater to anyone’s style from modern to vintage, it has the bricks and timber at the ready! Covered in windows to feel like you’re outside, and when the sun goes down, the pretty fairy lights create the perfect atmosphere for dancing outside. What more could you ask for?

Ian & Marcella – London St Pancras Renaissance Hotel Wedding – Part 1

London St Pancras Renaissance Hotel Wedding, St Pancras Chambers Wedding

Taking the tube to a wedding is something we enjoy very much. Right on our doorstep so to speak. On this day, we took the Victoria Line to Kings Cross where we would meet Marcella & Ian in the grand Chambers of The St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, untraditionally, casually getting ready for their wedding together, not something we often see, however, it was very sweet and gave us some really special time to photograph this couple moments before they would become husband and wife.
